The Professional Deputy Service
The PDS is a professional financial support service that assists vulnerable & elderly people to manage their finances and enable them to live as independently as possible.
Our clients and their interests are at the very centre of all that we do. We enable our clients to be financially secure and independent and remove worry and responsibility from them and their families.

Assisting the Vulnerable
We provide a safety net of financial support for those with disabilities, that ensures the money stays safe, but is also available for the good things in life.→

Supporting the Elderly
Our professional financial assistance service for seniors helps to protect and minimise worry, without taking away independence. →
PDS is appointed to the Office of the Public Guardian panel of Deputies. This is a list of approved firms who the Court and the OPG refer cases and members of the public to.
Our Mission Statement
We support our clients by managing their finances when they are unable to do so or when they want someone to do it for them.
-
We only act where it is clearly in the client’s best interests and continue only while that remains the case.
-
We focus on relationships rather than services, meeting regularly with clients and caring for their affairs to the standard we would expect for a member of our own family.
-
While client affairs remain confidential, we create a trusted “ring of confidence” so that those involved in day-to-day support understand the client’s finances, ensuring important occasions, holidays and treats can be planned and enjoyed.
-
For most clients, our service is effectively free. We successfully changed the law to make this possible. See Our Costs for details.
We ‘safeguard your money at all times’, each person is different with individual needs so each package is unique to them.

A shared burden
For someone fiercely independent, but aware of the need for help in managing his or her affairs.
Getting to know you is the most important & first imperative for us; where you are, what you want, followed by what you need.
Someone, not necessarily ourselves, will be your Attorney, who you appoint to act on your behalf, and, so far as possible, at your direction.

‘Keeping me in my home’ - Homecare
Most people have a place they feel safe, and that place is called home. And for everyone, leaving home is the last thing they want.
So we will make sure that’s just what happens; that your wishes are carried out for as long as it is possible.

A 'helping hand'
We may have been helping you manage your money for some time, years, and increasingly you need someone to actively manage your money, pay your bills, including probably, some form of domestic help, which we can monitor to make sure standards are maintained.
